Bistro 29, one of the newest and most contemporary restaurants in extreme western North Carolina, is located in Historic Downtown Murphy. Proprietors Wayne and Eugene dreamed of bringing the experience of casual fine dining to their new home and made it a reality on May 22nd, 2017.

People who dine at Bistro 29 instantly are met by a warm ambiance and stylish décor. Influenced by living and traveling abroad, Wayne and Eugene are excited to share the tastes and aromas of European cuisine with subtle American, Asian and Latin hints.
You can find Bistro 29 patrons sitting at a generous bar, enjoying a glass of Chasing Lions , Wente or a specialty drink designed by the bar staff. One of the most popular concoctions is the Basil Cucumber Martini.
Fine art graces the walls and soft music plays in the background. On certain nights, however, jazz musicians share their craft, enticing a relaxing experience for those dining or sipping at the bar.
Wayne and Eugene are global thinkers and doers. They know, first hand, how much waste restaurants produce and they are committed to minimizing it by using biodegradable products, designing menus to reduce food waste, and encourage the community to do their part.

Being a part of a community is very important to Wayne and Eugene. Outside of operating a successful business, they volunteer at community festivals and jubilees, and donate their delicious creations to those they can’t attend.
